A role bind is a rule: people at this rank in the group get these roles in Discord. Cove applies them when somebody verifies, and again whenever their rank changes.

Role binds, one per rank or range.

The three kinds

When binds overlap

They will, and that is fine. Somebody at rank 8 can match a rank bind, a range bind covering 5–12 and an everyone bind at once, and they get the roles from all three. Nicknames are the exception, because a person only has one. When more than one matching bind carries a nickname format, the most specific wins:

Per-bind nicknames

Some ranks want their own format. A bind can carry one, using the same tokens as the workspace format:
Leave it empty and the workspace format applies as normal.

Setting them up

Settings → Role binds. Pick the kind, choose the rank or range, and select the Discord roles it grants.
Check rank numbers against your group before saving. A bind pointed at a rank that doesn’t exist matches nobody and fails quietly — there is no one for Cove to refuse, so nothing appears to go wrong.
