Moderation in Cove is built around cases. Every action leaves one — who did it, to whom, why, and when — so “why is this person banned” still has an answer six months later.

Every case takes a reason, up to 400 characters. It is the part somebody reads later, so it is worth writing properly.

The Cases page lists every case in the workspace, numbered per workspace — case 14 is the fourteenth here, not the fourteenth across Cove.

Reverting

A case can be reverted — a ban lifted, a timeout cleared — and it keeps its history rather than disappearing. Reverting is its own permission, separate from moderating, on purpose: the point of a revert is that somebody other than the person who acted can correct a mistake, and that doesn’t work if only moderators can do it.
Cove can only act on members Discord lets it act on. It cannot moderate the server owner, or anybody whose highest role sits above the bot’s own — move the Cove role up if you want it to cover your team.
