# Getting started

> Everything you can do with a Cove API key.

Every request goes to `https://api.coveapp.cc/v1` with your key in the `Authorization` header. Make keys in the Developer Portal. A workspace or store can have up to 10.

```bash cURL theme={null}
curl https://api.coveapp.cc/v1/me \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer cove_live_…"
```

Answers are JSON. What you asked for is under `data`. Lists that go on have a `next_cursor`: send it back as `cursor` for the next page.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Keep keys secret. Don't put them in a Roblox LocalScript or anything a player can read. Use them from a server script or your own backend.
