# Your Cove account
> Signing in with Roblox, linking Discord, and the settings that keep the account yours.
One Cove account can belong to any number of workspaces. It is tied to your
Roblox account rather than to an email and password.
## Signing in
Cove uses Roblox to sign you in, so there is no Cove password to make, forget
or have stolen. Proving you own the Roblox account is the whole of it.
Linking **Discord** is required rather than optional — Cove leans on Discord as
heavily as it does Roblox, and an account without it cannot join or create a
workspace. The link is also what lets Cove recognise you in a server, which is
what verification, role binds and moderation all work from.
## Securing it

| Passkeys | Sign in with a device you already unlock |
A passkey counts as two factors on its own — the device holds a key that cannot
leave it, and you unlocked the device with a biometric or a PIN. So an account
with two-factor switched on is not asked for a code as well when signing in
with a passkey.
